Envisioned and mapped by Jessica Korthuis, HBC’s Co-founder, she didn’t have funding, customers, a team, or a playbook. She had a laptop, a newborn, lessons from her first business (a branding agency), and a deep belief that marketing didn’t need to be confusing or exclusive to be effective.
What started as a solo consultancy because something bigger: a voice, and a movement for doing business differently.

In 2020, Jess partnered with the brilliant and bold Mari Milenkovic—an operations powerhouse with a 10+ career in higher education who helped transform HBC into what it is today.
Together, they rebranded and built educational programs, digital tools, and virtual spaces that served thousands of founders across the globe.
Fully leaning into their combined vision to democratize marketing education to everyone who needs it, they built a trusted & beloved platform with a collective impact of helping to educate over 10K founders. -
In 2024, Her Brand & Co. was acquired by Full Tilt—a strategic, values-aligned, women-owned, marketing and communications agency that believed in everything they’d built with a shared vision for the future.
Now backed by the power of the agency, HBC is able to grow in new ways: like launching tech-enabled tools, expanding the content ecosystem, providing expanded support, and reaching more founders than ever before.
What hasn’t changed? Our roots. Our values; and our commitment to helping women market with confidence, clarity, and courage to build businesses that they love.

Full Tilt’s headquarters, a 120-year-old house with creaky floors, old charm, and room to grow, felt like more than an office. It felt like walking into new possibility.
